Acceptable Use Policy

What you may not publish on you.new, and what happens if you do.

This document is published for review and is not the final policy. Some details are still to be confirmed and are marked as such. It does not yet create binding obligations for either you or us.

1. Scope

This policy applies to everything you publish through you.new: your page, your links, your uploaded images, your text, and any third-party content you embed. It applies whether your page is public or hidden, and whether your account is free or paid.

It forms part of the Terms of Service. By publishing a page you agree to it.

2. Content you may not publish

You may not publish, link to, or embed:

Sexual content. Nudity, pornography, sexually explicit imagery, or content whose primary purpose is sexual arousal.
Child sexual abuse material. Any sexual content involving a minor. This is never permitted under any circumstance, is reported to the relevant authorities, and results in immediate and permanent removal.
Violent or graphic content. Real or simulated violence, gore, mutilation, or imagery intended to shock or disgust.
Self-harm content. Content that promotes, encourages, or gives instructions for suicide, self-injury, or disordered eating.
Hate and harassment. Content attacking a person or group based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation. Content targeting, threatening, or intimidating a specific person.
Scams and fraud. Deceptive offers, fake earnings claims, phishing, counterfeit goods, or anything designed to take money or credentials under false pretences.
Impersonation. Presenting yourself as another person, business, or brand you are not authorised to represent.
Spam. Bulk, repetitive, or automated content published to manipulate rather than communicate.
Illegal content. Anything unlawful where you or your audience are located, including the sale of controlled substances, weapons, or stolen data.
Malware and harmful code.Links or embeds that distribute malicious software or attempt to compromise a visitor’s device or accounts.

3. Conduct you may not engage in

Disguising a destination.Linking to a page that shows one thing to us and another to your visitors; using redirect chains or shorteners to hide a destination; or changing a link’s destination after publishing to something this policy prohibits.
Evading enforcement. Creating a new page or account to restore removed content, or circumventing a restriction placed on your page.
Abusing the reporting system. Submitting false or repeated reports against another member’s page.
Interfering with the service. Bypassing technical limits, accessing data that is not yours, or disrupting the service for others.

4. Third-party content you embed

Widgets, forms, chat tools and other embeds you place on your page are your responsibility. Content served by a third party through your page is treated as your content under this policy. We may block specific domains or embed sources across the whole service at any time.

5. How we enforce this

Depending on the severity and the circumstances, we may:

Refuse an upload. An image that clearly breaches section 2 may be rejected as you upload it. It is not stored and never appears on your page.
Remove a single card while the rest of your page stays live.
Take your page offline. It stops loading at its address and stops appearing in link previews and member networks.
Permanently delete uploaded images associated with the page.
Block a domain across the service, removing links to it from every page.

We may act without prior warning where content is clearly and seriously in breach. For anything less clear-cut, content stays live while a person reviews it.

Action taken against your page does not entitle you to a refund, except where required by law.

6. How you will know, and how to respond

How you will know. If your page is taken offline, a notice appears in your page builder the next time you sign in, stating that the page has been restricted and the reason. You can keep editing your page while it is offline.

How to respond. If you believe we have made a mistake, contact support and describe what was removed and why you think the decision was wrong. A person will look at it again.

We do not commit to a fixed response time, and we may decline to reverse a decision. Where content is restored it becomes visible again immediately.

7. Automated screening

We use automated systems to check images and text published through you.new for the content described in section 2. Where scanning is enabled, images you upload are sent to a third-party classification provider. We do not send your account details, and your content is not used to train any model.

Automated systems make mistakes. They are used to refuse the clearest breaches and otherwise to flag content for a person to review — they do not take a page offline on their own. The Privacy Policy covers what is sent and why.

8. Reporting content

Anyone can report a page using the Report link in its footer. You do not need an account. Reports are reviewed by a person. We will not tell you the outcome of your report, and reporting a page does not automatically remove it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated version.
