Terms of Service

The agreement between you and us when you use you.new.

This document is published for review and is not the final policy. Some details are still to be confirmed and are marked as such. It does not yet create binding obligations for either you or us.

1. Who these terms are between

These terms are an agreement between you and [operating entity to be confirmed], which operates you.new. We refer to that entity as “we” and “us”.

By creating an account or publishing a page, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

2. What the service is

you.new lets you build a public page at your own address — you.new/your-username — holding your links, text, images and optional embedded tools. You may create up to three pages on one account.

We may add, change or withdraw features. Where a change materially reduces what a paid plan provides, we will give notice. See section 10.

3. Your account

You must give accurate information when you register and keep your login secure. You are responsible for everything done through your account. One person or business per account, and credentials are not to be shared.

You must be at least [minimum age to be confirmed] to use the service.

4. Your username

Usernames are assigned first-come and form your public page address. We may reclaim a username that impersonates a person or brand, is used to mislead, or is inactive. Where we reclaim one, we will make reasonable effort to contact you first.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you publish.

You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display your content for the purpose of operating the service, including generating link previews and thumbnails. That licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies held in backups or in moderation records.

You are responsible for holding the rights to everything you publish.

Your page content is public by design. Treat anything you put on a page as public — including while the page is set to Hidden. Hidden removes a page from the website; it is not a private store. The Privacy Policy explains exactly what is and is not public.

6. Acceptable use

The Acceptable Use Policy forms part of these terms. It sets out what you may not publish, and how we enforce it — including removing content and taking a page offline.

7. The “Powered by BetterMarketers” footer

Every page on a free plan carries a fixed footer crediting BetterMarketers and linking to a BetterMarketers destination. It cannot be hidden or removed on a free plan. This is a condition of the free plan, not a fault. Paid plans do not carry it.

8. Plans, prices and payment

Prices are those shown at checkout at the time you buy. We do not restate them here, because they change — the checkout page is the binding figure.

The service offers a free plan, paid plans, and separately purchasable products including a widget bundle (available as a one-off multi-year licence, a three-instalment plan, or a monthly subscription) and SalesBot (a one-off fee).

Instalment plans. Where you buy on an instalment plan you owe all instalments. Missing one may suspend access until it is paid.
Subscriptions. Monthly plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and access continues to the end of the paid period.
Taxes. Prices exclude any tax we are required to collect, unless stated otherwise.
Failed payments. We may suspend paid features if a payment fails, after reasonable attempts to collect.

9. Refunds

[Refund terms to be confirmed] — these will differ between the one-off licence, the instalment plan, the monthly subscription and SalesBot, and are subject to the consumer law that applies where you live.

Where your page or account is restricted for breaching the Acceptable Use Policy, you are not entitled to a refund except where the law requires one.

10. The referral programme

If you refer other members, you may earn commission on qualifying purchases they and their own referrals make.

How referrals are recorded

Referrals are attributed on a first-touch basis: the first referring link a visitor arrives through is recorded when they register, and does not change afterwards. Attribution depends on the visitor’s browser accepting a cookie that lasts 30 days. We cannot guarantee attribution where a cookie is blocked, cleared or expired.

Commission structure

Commission is paid on purchases made up to five referral levels below you, at published rates that differ by level. Some rates carry qualification conditions — for example a minimum number of direct referrals. The current rates and conditions are those shown in your dashboard.

Commission is calculated on a share of purchase value, not the full price. That commissionable amount is published in your dashboard and may change.

No earnings are promised

Any figures, projections or calculators shown in the dashboard are illustrative models based on inputs you choose. They are not a prediction, not a typical result, and not a guarantee of income.

Most participants in referral programmes of this kind earn little or nothing. What you earn depends on your own effort, your market, and factors outside anyone’s control. We do not publish typical-earnings data, and no figure shown anywhere in the product should be read as one.

Changes and disqualification

We may change rates, levels, qualification conditions and the commissionable amount on notice. Changes do not apply to commission already earned.

We may withhold or reverse commission, and remove you from the programme, where referrals are fraudulent, self-referred, generated by automation or incentivised sign-ups, or where you make earnings claims we have not authorised.

11. Changes to the service and these terms

We may change these terms. Material changes take effect [notice period to be confirmed] after we post them, and continued use after that means you accept them. Where a change materially reduces a paid plan, you may cancel and we will refund the unused portion.

12. Suspension and termination

By you. You can close your account at any time. Paid periods already started are not refunded except as set out in section 9.

By us. We may restrict a page, suspend or terminate an account where you breach these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, where required by law, or where continuing would expose us or others to harm.

On termination your pages stop being publicly reachable. We may retain moderation records as described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Availability, warranties and liability

The service is provided as is. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we are not responsible for the content of third-party destinations you link to or tools you embed on your page.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to [liability cap to be confirmed]. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

14. Governing law and disputes
